chocolates in its class. We import our chocolate from Belgium and use only the
finest flavoring and nuts so the fine Belgian texture is not compromised. We
are so confident in our products that if you are not completely satisfied you
can send us back the unsampled portions and we will give you your money back.
Amber Lyn Chocolates, Inc. was started in the spring of 1999. The motivation
for the startup of the company was due to the lack of good tasting sugar
free chocolate. The company's founder, Lyman Peterson, had been on
a low carb, high protein diet and was unable to satisfy his craving for sugar
with the candies that were on the market at that time.
After a lot of study and research, Lyman came in contact with a European chocolate
distributor that was making a revolutionary chocolate sweetened with Maltitol.
Lyman immediatley became excited with the possibilities that maltitol could
offer himself and those that were not only on low carb diets, but also diabetics
and those looking for healthy, natural sugar alternatives.
Amber Lyn Chocolates Inc., has had to adapt to a tremendous amount of success
very early, and is currently on track to produce millions of low carb
candy bars annually. Amber Lyn Chocolates, Inc is currently the manufacturer
for Kristens© Candy Bar from Better nutrition in Nevada and also Sweet Results©
from Dixie Nutrition in Utah.

Maltitol
All of our products are sweetened with Maltitol. Maltitol is a reduced calorie
bulk sweetener. Its stability, high sweetness, and structure make it a suitable
alternative for many reduced-calorie, reduced fat, and sugar-free foods. Maltitol
also:

- Is a reduced calorie sweetener - only 2.1 calories per gram
- Has a low amount of carbohydrates that are absorbed by the body
- Is useful in the manufacturing of sucrose-free chocolate
- May be useful for persons with diabetes because it does not raise blood
glucose or insulin levels
- Has been recommended by FDA as a healthy food sweetener
Maltitol is a hydrogenated form of the sugar Maltose which is derived from
starches. Although every body is different Maltitol can have a diuretic effect.
